Shannon Kristjanson is a saxophonist, flutist, and vocalist originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, now situated in Ottawa, Ontario. She is known for her versatility as a musician, frequently performing in a wide variety of musical settings. From classical to jazz to folk to hip-hop, Shannon has performed as a member of many different ensembles including Steve Kirby’s Oceanic Jazz Orchestra, Super Duty Tough Work and collage-à-trois. As an educator, Shannon has worked extensively as a guest clinician and private instructor in middle schools, high schools, and post-secondary institutions.

Shannon has been a clinician for many school bands focusing on woodwind sectionals, flute sectionals, or saxophone sectionals, jazz band, small jazz ensemble, and jazz saxophone sectionals.
